Our journey to Goa begins with an overnight train ride from Vadodara (Baroda) to Goa. You’ll depart from Vadodara Junction in the evening, setting out on a scenic adventure that spans approximately 1,200 kilometers. The train ride, lasting around 17-18 hours, offers a comfortable and picturesque experience as you traverse the diverse landscapes, including the lush Western Ghats. Enjoy the gentle sway of the train and the beautiful vistas along the way. Upon arrival in Goa the next morning, you’ll be greeted by the warm coastal breeze and vibrant atmosphere, well-rested and eager to dive into your exciting exploration of this popular beach destination.
Upon our arrival in Goa, we will check into our hotel and freshen up before heading to Baga Beach. We can spend the morning relaxing on the golden sands, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere, or indulging in thrilling water sports like parasailing or jet skiing. In the afternoon, we will visit the historic Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the surrounding landscapes. After exploring the fort, we will make our way to Calangute Beach, the largest beach in North Goa, where we can unwind and take in the beautiful sunset. We’ll end our evening with a leisurely stroll along the beach, enjoying the lively vibe of this popular destination.

We will start our day with a visit to the famous Anjuna Flea Market, where we can browse through an array of stalls selling everything from clothing and jewelry to unique souvenirs and local handicrafts. After shopping, we have the option to embark on an excursion to Dudhsagar Waterfalls, depending on the season. These towering falls, one of India’s tallest, offer a spectacular sight, and the adventurous trek through lush forests to reach them is an experience in itself. If we prefer a more relaxed day, we can skip the falls and head directly to Palolem Beach in South Goa. Known for its serene and picturesque setting, Palolem Beach is the perfect place to unwind, swim in the calm waters, and enjoy a laid-back beach day.
On our final day in Goa, we will begin with a visit to Cabo de Rama Fort, located in South Goa. This fort, steeped in history, offers breathtaking views of the coastline and a peaceful atmosphere away from the usual tourist spots. We will spend some time exploring the fort and its surroundings before heading back to North Goa. In the late afternoon, we will make our way to the Mandovi River for a sunset cruise. As we glide along the river, we can take in the beautiful views of the sunset, with live music and entertainment adding to the experience. The cruise will be a perfect way to wrap up our Goa trip, leaving us with unforgettable memories of this coastal paradise.
After the sunset cruise, we will return to our hotel to pack up and prepare for our departure. Depending on our train schedule, we may have some free time to explore Goa further or relax before heading to the railway station for our return journey to Vadodara.
